AN ACT to pay Wm. J. Jewell a sum of money
for painting the President's Room.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer is hereby directed
to pay, on the warrant of the Comptroller, to Wm.
J. Jewell, the sum of thirty-two dollars and fifty
cents, in full for painting the President's Room.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted , That this act shall
take effect from its passage.
CHAPTER 16.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
the Electors of President and Vice President of
the United States in and for the State of Mary-
land, their officers and attendants.
|

propriated.
|
SECTION 1. And be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the sum of five hundred
dollars ($500.00,) or so much thereof as may be
necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated
to pay the per diem and mileage of the Electors of
President and Vice President of the United States
in and for the State of Maryland, their officers and
attendants.

Comptroller
to issue war-
rant.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller
of the Treasury is hereby directed to issue his war-
rant upon the certificate of the President and Sec-
retary of the Electoral College, which assembled
in the city of Annapolis, on the seventh day of
December, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, for
such sums as may be due the several Electors afore-
said, their officers and attendants.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
