A. W. BRADFORD, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

James T. McCullough, George W. Wells, Stephen
T. Hayes, William T. Alexander, Joseph B.
Cantwell, Robert M. Walmsley, David Scott, of
James, and all others who now are or who may
hereafter become members of said lodge, in con-
formity with its constitution and by-laws now in
force, or such as may under the authority of this
act be ordained, and their successors, be and they
are hereby constituted and declared to be a com-
munity, corporation and body politic forever by
the name, style and title of "Cecil Lodge, number
sixty-two, of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows
of Maryland," and by that name are hereby made
capable in law to have, receive and retain to them
and their successors, property, real and personal,
and the same at their pleasure to transfer and dis-

pose of, to have succession and be able to sue and
be sued, implead and be impleaded, answer and
be defended, in any court of law or equity and to
have and use a common seal, and the same to
break, alter or renew at pleasure, and to make
and establish such by-laws, rules and regulations
as may be necessary for the government of said
association or lodge, and the management of its
business affairs, not repugnant to the Constitution
of the United States or the laws of the State of
Maryland, and to compel due observance thereof
by suitable penalties.

May sue and
be sued, &c.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all the rights,
property and franchises legally acquired by the
said association or lodge, under and by virtue of
the aforesaid deed of the said Francis A. Ellis and
wife, or under and in pursuance of the aforesaid
articles of association and incorporation, so far as
the same may not be inconsistent with the provi-
sions of this act, shall be and the same are hereby
continued and confirmed to and in the said asso-
ciation or lodge by and under their corporate
name of "Cecil Lodge, number sixty-two, of the
Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Maryland,"
and that all existing by-laws, rules and regula-
tions of said lodge not inconsistent with the pro-
visions of this act, be and the same are continued
in force until they shall be legally altered,
amended or repealed.
