A. W. BRADFORD, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR,
authorized and empowered to remove from the
office of Collector in any of the districts aforesaid,
any Collector, who in their judgment has failed to
perform the duties of said office faithfully and
efficiently, and to appoint another in his stead,
who shall be required to give bond in the same
manner as the other Collectors.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to legalize the acts of the Burgess and
Commissioners of Boonsboro', in Washington
county, and for regulating notices for holding
elections.

WHEREAS, the Burgess and Commissioners of
Boonsboro', in Washington county, have by inad-
vertence neglected to take the oath of allegiance,
and to subscribe their names thereto, as required
to be done by Article first, section seven of the
Constitution of the State, thereby rendering their
acts illegal and of no effect; therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the acts of said Burgess
and Commissioners be and the same are hereby
made legal and binding, as if said oath of allegi-
ance had been taken and been subscribed to by the
said Burgess and Commissioners, according to the
requirements of said Constitution, so soon as they
shall have taken and subscribed to said oath of
allegiance before a Justice of the Peace or some
other person legally qualified to administer the
same.

elections for said corporation officers shall be held
legal, where a notice of ten days shall have been
