CHAPTER 89.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to com-
pensate Edwin H. Webster, Charles E. Phelps,
Alexander Randall, Grayson Eichelberger and
Dr. Thomas King Carroll for services rendered
as Commissioners to re-organize the Militia of
the State under the appointment of Governor A.
W. Bradford.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer is hereby di-
rected to pay upon the warrant of the Comptroller,
to Edwin H. Webster, Charles E. Phelps, Alex-
ander Randall, Grayson Eichelberger, and Dr.
Thomas King Carroll, Commissioners appointed
by Governor A. W. Bradford to re-organize the
Militia of the State, the sum of two hundred and
ten dollars each.

Sec. 2. And be.it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal sections one hundred and for ty,
one hundred and forty-one, one hundred and for-
ty-two and one hundred and forty-three of Ar-
ticle four of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore city, relating to Hackney Carriages,
and enact other sections in lieu of the sections so
repealed.
