LAWS OF MARYLAND.

market, the said corporation shall be and is hereby
invested with all and singular the rights, profits,
powers, authorities, immunities and advantages
for surveying, locating and constructing railroads
and tram roads, with the necessary appurtenances
from their mines, wells or works, to connect at
Any convenient point or points with other existing
railroads in Allegany county, and for the making,
constructing, preserving and controlling the said
railroad or r.oads, tram road or tram roads, and
the necessary vehicles and appurtenances thereto
belonging, and every part thereof, which by the
act, and more particularly the fifteenth section
thereof, incorporating the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad Company and its several supplements,
were for the lawful purposes of said company, and
the benefit of its corporators given, granted, au-
thorized and secured to the said company, and to
the President and Directors thereof, respectively,
as fully and perfectly as if the same were herein
repeated ; and the said corporation shall transport
on its railroad or roads, which maybe constructed
under the provisions of this act, and also on any
railroad or tram road which it may own as herein
before authorized, all persons and property at the
same rates of tolls and prices of transportation, as
the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, are
or shall be allowed by law to charge and receive.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That nothing herein
contained shall be construed to enable or authorize
the said corporation to issue any note token or de-
vice to be used as currency.

fect.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and that
the General Assembly reserves the right to alter
or repeal the same at pleasure.
