Sec. S. And be it enacted, That the General As-
sembly may alter, amend or repeal this act at
pleasure, and that the same shall take effect from
and after its passage.

Reservation.

AN ACT to amend and re-enact the sixteenth sec-
tion of the fiftieth Article of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws relating to the pay of Jurors,
and to repeal all local laws on the subject of
the pay of Jurors.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sixteenth section of the
.fiftieth Article of the Code of Public General Laws
relating to the pay of Jurors, be and the same is
hereby amended and re-enacted, so as to read as
follows:

re-enacted.
|
16. "Jurors shall receive two dollars and a half
per day, for each and every day they shall attend
the several courts of this State as Jurors, and fif-
teen cents for each mile over five miles, for going
to and returning from the court once in each term,
to be paid by the counties or city respectively in
which such courts are held."

Per diem and
mileage.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all the sections
of the several Articles of the Code of Public Local
Laws relating to the pay and mileage of Jurors
be and the same are hereby repealed.

Repealed.
|
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
