CHAPTER 76.

 

AN ACT to amend the fifty-sixth Article of the
Code of Public General Laws, relating to Li-
censes.

Passed Feb.
10, 1865.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the twenty-second section of
the fifty-sixth Article of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws be and the same is hereby repealed, and
the following section enacted in lieu thereof :

Repealed.

22. No such license shall be granted to any
hawker or peddler, in the name or style of a part-
nership or company, and but one person shall
trade under any such license. No such license
shall expend beyond the county in which it may
be issued.

AN ACT to incorporate the Spruce Hill Coal
Company, of Allegany County.

21, 1865.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Charles H. Hamill, John F.
Ehlen, Alfred Buck, Abraham B. Patterson and
James Boyce, and such other persons as may be
associated with them in the manner hereinafter
provided, shall be and they are hereby constituted
a body corporate and politic, by the name of the
Spruce Hill Coal Company, and by that name
shall have succession, and be able and capable to
sue and be sued, in any court whatever, and may
have and use a common seal, and the same alter
and renew at pleasure, and shall have all the
franchises, powers, faculties and rights necessary
and proper for the carrying on the mining of coal,
and the beneficial management of its property,
and for the transportation of coal and other pro-
ducts of its mines and property to market, and
