said church have found it more convenient to
erect another church at a different place in said
county, whereby the use of said original building
is not required for religious purposes and they
being desirous of soiling and disposing of so
much of the land on which the original church
was erected, as may not be required for the use
of the school, and for this purpose have applied
for relief; and to effect this purpose.

CHAP. 86.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Trustees or Church Council
of Mount Zion Church congregation of Lutherans
of Washington County, be, and they are hereby
Authorized and empowered at their discretion to
sell and dispose of so much of the laud and property
acquired under and by virtue of the will and testa-
ment of said Thomas M. Hogg, and the contract
with Zacharias Claggett, as they may deem proper,
and apply the proceeds of sale for the use and pur-
poses of said church known as the Mount Zion
Church, and execute conveyances to the purchasers
hereof.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act take
effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT to make valid and to carry into effect
the bequest contained in the last will and testa-
ment of George Kerr, late of Baltimore county,
deceased, in favor of the Trustees of the first Pres-
byterian Church of Ellicott's Mills, in Howard
county.
