AN ACT to amend Article twelve of the Code of
Public General Laws relating to the payment of
specie by the Banks of this State.
|
Suspended.
|
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the first, second, third, fourth,
fifth, sixth, eighth and ninth sections of Article
twelve of the Code of Public General Laws, re-
lating to Banks, be and the same are hereby sus-
pended.
|
Penalty.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That no Corpora-
tion of this State, authorized to issue notes for cir-
culation, shall be subject to any forfeiture or penal-
ty for not redeeming such notes in specie before the
eleventh day of March, eighteen hundred and six-
ty-two.

CHAPTER 6.
AN ACT to amend the fourth Article of the Code
of Public Local Law, by adding thereto a sec-
tion vesting in the Board of Police of the city of
Baltimore, all the authority in said city now
vested in a single Magistrate and Constable un-
der the provisions of the sixty-sixth Article of
the Code of General Public Law, in regard to
Free Negroes and Mulattoes.

Amended.

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the fourth Article of the Code
of Public Local Law, be amended by adding there-
to the following section, viz:

ferred.

The Board of Police of the city of Baltimore shall
have and may exercise in said city all the authori-
ty and power conferred on a single Constable and
