pealed, and the following enacted, as a substitute
therefor:

CHAP. 35.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, That every Juror sum-
moned to the Circuit court, for Calvert County,
and every Bailiff attending said court, shall re-
ceive for each day, he shall attend said Court, the
sum of one dollar and fifty cents.

Per diem.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 35.

 

AN ACT to repeal the four hundred and twelfth
Section of Article four, of the Code of Public
Local Laws relating to the inspection and weigh-
ing of hay, and to insert in lieu thereof the fol-
lowing sections:

11, 1861.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
ef Maryland, That the four hundred and twelfth
section of Article four, of. the Code of Public Local
Laws is hereby repealed, and the following substi-
tuted therefor r.

Repealed.

All hay and straw brought to the city of Balti-
more shall be weighed at the State Hay Stales, as
provided in this article, and by one of the Inspec-
tors, at the rate of one hundred pounds to the hun-
dred weight, making a reasonable allowance for
the moisture thereof, as well as for the mud or
other substances attached to the wagon, cart or
sled containing the same; this section not to
apply to hay or straw in bales brought to the city
by water, rail road, wagons, carts or sleds.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
