The Peoples' Union Church of Baltimore City

(THE CHURCH OF OUR LORD)

Corner Bond and Jefferson Streets, Baltimore City
Organized Mar 31st, 1915 by Rev. C. Ed. Browne

The congregation purchased the three-story brick building, corner
Orleans and Ann Streets, where services were held until March, 1919,
when the present Church property, corner Bond and Jefferson Streets,
with parsonage adjoining, was secured from the Jefferson Street M. K.
Congregation (white) at the cost of fifteen thousand seven hundred
dollars ($15,700). Mr. Harry O. Wilson, Banker, accepted a mortgage
for eleven thousand dollars ($11,000), which was lifted June, 1920,
thus liquidating the entire indebtedness within fifteen months.
