REV. JAMES R. L. DIGGS

Rev. James R. L.. Diggs, A. H., Ph. D., Pastor of Trinity Baptist
Church and President of Clayton-Williams Academy, was educated
at Wayland Seminary, Washington, D. C.. and completed advanced
courses at Bucknell College, 1808; Cornell University and the Illi-
nois University, earning the doctor's degree in 1906. Has served six
years as Professor of Latin and Instructor in French and Philosophy
in Virginia University, anil five years as President of State University,
Ky., and Virginia Seminary, and was Dean of Selma University from
1911-1914.

Prof. Diggs married Miss Alberta M. Pack, a cultured and re-
fined woman of rare educational attainments; a fine German student.
She earned both the Master's and Batchelor's Degrees. She taught
German and History in Selma University, 1914. Mrs. Diggs is a
native of Hinton, W. Va.
