MR. JESSE L NICHOLAS.

One of the most popular scbool teachers of Maryland, a progressive
Odd Fellow and Mason, and a thorough public-spirited citizen and race
man.

Mr. Nicholas has been for the past 12 years District Grand Secretary
of I. C. O. of O. F. of the Maryland Jurisdiction. He served as private
secretary to Grand Master E. H. Morris of the G. U. O. of O. F. at the
Atlanta and Boston B. M. C.'s.

He is also Secretary of the State Teachers' Association of Maryland.

He is a member of Madison Street Presbyterian Church.
