946 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, That said constables shall
hold said office at the pleasure of said County Commissioners,
and shall be removed, transferred or assigned or dismissed at
the pleasure of said County Commissioners.

SEC. 5. Be it further enacted, That the County Commission-
ers of aforesaid are hereby authorized and empowered to annu-
ally levy the sum of two thousand dollars each and every year,
and shall pay to said constables so appointed under the provi-
sions of this Act such sum or sums of money as said Commis-
sioners shall deem just and proper for service performed by
said constables.

SEC. 6. Be it further enacted, That any and all Acts incon-
sistent with this Act are hereby repealed.

SEC. 7. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 672.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Montgomery County to borrow money for the use of the
Board of County School Commissioners of said county in
providing certain facilities for public school purposes in said
county and to issue bonds of said county for the money so
borrowed of the par value of twelve thousand dollars.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County School Commissioners of Mont-
gomery County be and is hereby authorized to erect and equip
in its discretion, in the town of Damascus and at or near the
village of Germantown, or elsewhere in said Montgomery coun-
ty, such public school building or buildings in addition or addi-
tions to Public School building or buildings as the said Board
of County School Commissioners may deem necessary or de-
sirable, and if need be, to purchase the fee simple title to suit-
able tract or tracts of land for Public School purposes.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That for the purposes of this Act,
the County Commissioners of said county be, and they are
hereby authorized and directed to pay to the Board of County
School Commissioners of said county, the sum of twelve thou-
sand dollars ($12,000) together with such additional sum as
may be derived from the sale of the bonds hereinafter pro-
vided for.
