944 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

of Montgomery County, upon which shall be printed the words
"For the Incorporation of the Town of Woodmont," and
"Against the Incorporation of the Town of Woodmont," with
a box opposite in which the voter shall by making a cross-mark
indicate 'his preference for or against incorporating as
herein above set forth; that the ballots shall be immediate-
ly counted and canvassed and the result of election announced
to those present and certified in writing on the following
Thursday to the Board of Election Supervisors aforesaid, who
shall file the same for record with the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Montgomery County; and the foregoing bill incor-
porating said town of Woodmont, if so adopted by a majority
of the voters of such election, shall become operative and in
full force and effect; that all residents of said town of Wood-
mont possessing the qualifications prescribed for voters by the
laws of the State of Maryland, and who are taxpayers and also
all male residents, owners of real estate of said town, who are
taxpayers thereon, and also all husbands of female resident
owners of real estate of said town not less than twenty-one
years of age, and who have been bona fide residents thereof for
not less than six months next preceding, and who actually re-
side therein at. the time of the special election in this section
provided for, and none other, shall be entitled to vote at said
election to be held on the tenth of May, 1910, for or against
incorporating said town as provided therein.

CHAPTER 696,

AN ACT to provide for the appointment of an additional Jus-
tice of the Peace for the Tenth Election District in Mont-
gomery county, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Governor is hereby authorized, empowered and
directed to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace for the
Tenth Election District of Montgomery county, Maryland.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted. That all other Acts inconsistent with
this Act are hereby repealed, so far as they are inconsistent
herewith.

SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.
