SEC 4. And be it enacted. That at a special election to be
called by the Commissioners of Betterton at such time as they
may think proper, but not later than the next regular election
for Commissioners of Betterton, which said election shall in all
particulars not herein provided for be held under the super-
vision and direction of the Commissioners of Betterton, there
shall be submitted to the qualified taxpaying voters of Better-
ton the question whether the said money shall be borrowed and
said bonds issued, and at such special election the ballots cast
upon that question shall have the words "For Street Tax" or
"Against Street Tax" thereon, and if a majority of the votes
cast upon the question shall be "For Street Tax," then the
Commissioners of Betterton, or a majority of them, shall pro-
ceed to execute the power vested in them by this act; but if
the majority of votes cast shall be "Against Street Tax," then
they shall not execute such power and this Act shall be of no
effect.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 338.
AN ACT authorizing the Baltimore and Eastern Railway Com-
pany to build bridges over Lankford's Bay and the Chester
river.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Baltimore and Eastern Railway Company, a
corporation duly incorporated under the laws of the State of
Maryland, be and it is hereby authorized to build a bridge over
Lankford's Bay, Kent County, Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Baltimore and
Eastern Railway Company be and is hereby authorized to
build a bridge over the Chester river at or near Chestertown,
Kent County, Maryland.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That said bridges shall be
built in accordance with the provisions and subject to the
regulations provided in Section 264 of Article 23 of Volume 1 of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
