HARFORD COUNTY. 887

CHAPTER 141.

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Harford County," subtitle "Fish,"
said sections to come in after Section 132 of said Article,
and to be known as 132A and 132s, prohibiting non-residents
of Harford County from fishing in the waters of the Bush
and Gunpowder rivers, except with hook and line.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following sections be added to and incorporated
in Article 13 of the Code of Public Laws, title "Harford
County," subtitle "Fish," to be known as Sections 132A and
132B, and to read respectively as follows:

132A. It shall not be lawful for any person not a bona fide
resident of the county to fish in the waters of the Bush river
and Gunpowder river, in the county of Harford, with pound
nets, fike nets, stake nets, hoop nets, gill nets, purse seine,
buck net, haul seine or any trap or net of any kind or descrip-
tion, except with hook and line; provided, however, that noth-
ing herein contained shall prevent owners, renters or lessors of
farms and lands bordering upon the waters of said rivers from
catching fish with nets in said waters.

132s. Each and every person violating any of the provisions
of Section 132A shall be subject to arrest by any person author-
ized by law to make the same, or upon a warrant issued by any
Justice of the Peace of said county, and upon conviction shall
be fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than fifty
dollars for each and every violation of the provisions of said
Section 132A, or for each and every day upon or during which
said person shall or may repeat or continue such violation of
said provisions of said Section 132A; one-half of said fine or
fines to be paid as and when collected to the Commissioners
of Fisheries of the State of Maryland, to be used and expended,
for the protection of fish and the enforcement of laws pertain-
ing to fish, and the other half to informer.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
