said bonds and interest may severally mature, as herein pro-
vided; and the said special tax or levy shall be a lien upon
the taxable property of the said county upon which it is so
levied in the same manner and to the same extent as other
taxes levied in said county, and the said tax shall be collectible
and collected in like manner as other taxes levied in the said
county are collectible and collected, and when collected the
said special tax shall be applied, as hereinbefore provided, to
the payment of the said bonds as they severally mature, and
the interest thereon semi-annually, when and as hereinbefore
provided; which said bonds and coupons when issued, as here-
in provided, shall be non-contestable for any cause whatsoever,
and shall be exempt from all taxes, county and municipal,
levied in Dorchester county.
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 171.
AN ACT to add a sub-section after Section 48 of Article 10 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester County,"
sub-title "Cambridge," the said sub-section to follow Section
48, and to be designated as Sub-section AB.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a sub-section be added after Section 48 of Article 10
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester County,"
sub-title "Cambridge," the said sub-section to follow Section
48, to be designated Sub-section AB. and to read as follows:
SUB-SEC. AB. For the purpose of assisting Rescue Fire Com-
pany of Cambridge, Maryland, an organization annexed to the
Fire Department of Cambridge, Maryland, the County Com-
missioners of Dorchester County are authorized and required
on October 1st, in each and every year, beginning with and in-
cluding the year nineteen hundred and ten, to levy and appro-
priate the sum of one hundred dollars, and the Commissioners
of Cambridge are authorized and required on October 1st, in
each and every year, beginning with and including the year
nineteen hundred and ten, to levy and appropriate the sum of
three hundred dollars. The Commissioners of Cambridge may
appropriate and take the same out of the regular yearly levy;
or, if they deem it necessary, they may levy the said sum of
three hundred dollars, in addition to the regular yearly levy.
The County Commissioners aforesaid shall pay the one hun-
dred dollars on the first day of October, in each and every
