now or formerly belonging to John L. Budd, to the Wicomico
River, be and the same is hereby excepted from the provisions
of Section 162 of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Charles County," sub-title "Roads and Bridges," as the
same was enacted by Chapter 324 of the Acts of 1878.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effeet
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 50.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 441 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session 1908, en-
titled "An Act to repeal Sections 157, 158, 159 and 160 of
Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws," title "Charles
County," sub-title "Roads and Bridges;" and Chapter 284 of
the Acts of 1898, Chapter 227 of the Acts of 1902, and Chap-
ter 432 of the Acts of 1906, and all Acts or parts of Acts
amendatory of the aforesaid sections, and to re-enact the
same with the amendments, and to add certain sections to
the aforegoing Article, to be designated Sections 160A, 160s
and 160c, and re-enact same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 441 of the Acts of 1908, entitled "An Act
to repeal Sections 157, 158, 159 and 160 of Article 9 of the
Code of Public Local Laws," title "Charles County," sub-title
"Roads and Bridges;" and Chapter 284 of the Acts of 1898,
Chapter 227 of the Acts of 1902, and Chapter 432 of the Acts
of 1906, and all Acts or parts of Acts amendatory of the afore-
said section and to re-enact same with amendments, and to add
certain sections to the aforegoing Article, to be designated Sec-
tions 160A, 160e and 160c, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:

SEC. 157. The County Commissioners of Charles County
shall have the control and regulation of the public roads and
bridges, in said county, under the provisions of this Act.

SEC. 158. From and after the fifteenth day of April, 1910r
the control and regulation of the construction and repair of the
public roads and bridges in Charles county shall be entrusted
to the County Commissioners for said Charles County, with the
power to name supervisors of roads for the said county, not to
exceed nine in number, at a salary not to exceed two dollars
per day of actual service, and to have entire control and super-
vision of the work of repairing, constructing and reconstruct-
