pense of the preparation, issuing and sale of said bonds; the
balance of this sum of money is to be then applied to the re-
paving or repairing of such streets in said city of Westminster
as the said Mayor and Common Council may order and direct,
and for no other purpose; and any sums of money heretofore
levied and uncollected, to provide a sinking fund for the re-
demption of the bonds now outstanding, may be used after the
payments of said bonds as herein provided, when collected for
any municipal purpose.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the said Mayor and
Common Council are authorized and required in each and
every year hereafter while the bonds hereby authorized or any
of them are outstanding and unpaid, to levy and collect a
special tax on the property of all kinds and description, liable
to assessment and taxation within the corporate limits of the
city of Westminster, sufficient to pay the interest on the out-
standing bonds, by them issued under the provisions of this
Act, and the principal thereof as the same shall fall due, until
they shall have all been redeemed and retired; and the pro-
ceeds of such tax as collected shall be by the Mayor and Com-
mon Council placed to their order in some safe depository as
a separate and distinct fund, and by them only applied to the
payment of the interest and redemption of said bonds, when
and as soon as they shall become due and redeemable, and
when redeemed said bonds and any coupons shall be cancelled.
And the said taxes are pledged to the payment of the interest
and principal of said bonds, and can be used for no other
purpose.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted,, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 80.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 66
and 67 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Carroll County," sub-title "Manchester," as
amended by Chapter 262 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland of 1908.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 60 and Section 67 of Article 7 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Carroll County,"
sub-title "Manchester," as amended by Chapter 262 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1908, be and the same
are hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:
