spected and passed upon, and all bills O. K.'d by the Road
Engineer before being paid.
213e. That the said County Road Engineer, whenever re-
quested by the County Commissioners to do so, shall take
charge of and supervise all contract work on the county roads
and bridges entered into by the said Commissioners with the
State Roads Commission, or under the provisions of the Shoe-
maker Act when not actually engaged in the general road work
of said county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That so much of Chapter 644 of
the Acts of nineteen hundred and four as is inconsistent with
the provisions of this Act be and the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 198.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 30 of
Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Caroline
County," sub-tile "Federalsburg," as amended by Chapter
149 of the Acts of Assembly of 1902, and re-enact the same
with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land. That Section 30 of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Caroline County," sub-title "Federalsburg," as
amended by Chapter 149 of the Acts of Assembly of 1902, be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
SEC. 30. That the said the Commissioners of Federalsburg
shall have power to provide in any of their by-laws or ordi-
nances for such fine as may be prescribed by said by-laws or or-
dinances not exceeding fifty dollars, in the discretion of the
said Commissioners, to be imposed upon any person or persons
for violation thereof; but nothing herein contained shall pre-
vent the Commissioners of Federalsburg from fixing a mini-
mum and maximum fine in any by-law or ordinance, provided
said maximum fine does not exceed fifty dollars; and all viola-
tions of said by-law or ordinance of said town of Federalsburg
are declared to be misdemeanors, and all prosecution shall be
brought in the name of said corporation. If any person or
persons shall violate any of the ordinances or by-laws of the
said corporation, then it shall be lawful and it is hereby made
