CHAPTER 111.
AN ACT to prohibit the laying of railway tracks upon Auch-
entoroly terrace between Orem lane or avenue and Penn-
sylvania avenue or Reistertown turnpike, in the City of
Baltimore, without the consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall not be lawful for any person or corporation
to lay any railroad tracks upon Auchentoroly terrace, be-
tween Orem lane or avenue and Pennsylvania avenue or Reis-
tertown turnpike, in the City of Baltimore, without the consent
of the General Assembly of Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 109.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 281, 282, 283, 284, 285, 286, 288
and 289 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, entitled "City of Baltimore," subtitle "Carriages
and Horses," as amended and re-enacted by Chapter 123 of
the Acts of 1898, and to re-enact Sections 281, 282, 283, 284,
285, 286, with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 281, 282, 283, 284, 285, 286, 288 and 289 of
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, enti-
tled "City of Baltimore," subtitle "Carriages and Horses," as
amended and re-enacted by Chapter 123 of the Acts of 1898,
and to re-enact Sections 281, 282, 283, 284, 285 and 286 with
amendments, so as to read as follows:
SEC. 281. The Board of Police Commissioners of the City
of Baltimore shall determine and fix rates of fare and amounts
to be charged by the owners, drivers, chauffeurs or persons
having in charge of hackney carriages in the said city, and
every owner, driver, chauffeur of or person having charge of
any hackney carriage for which a license has been obtained as
