CITY OF BALTIMORE. 623

Whereas, The said street bed, as so conveyed to the said
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, is deemed to be, in
whole or in part, unnecessarily wide.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
Iand, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore be and is
hereby authorized and empowered to re-convey to the said
David H. Carroll for a nominal consideration so much of that
portion of the bed of Remington avenue which was heretofore
conveyed to said Mayor and City Council of Baltimore by him,
as in the judgment of the sajd Mayor and City Council of Bal-
timore may not be needed for public use as a public highway.

CHAPTER 571.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore," to
be known as Section 6B, relating to public recreation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"City of Baltimore," said section to be known as Section 6B,
and to read as follows:

6B. The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall have
full power and authority to establish or maintain, directly or
by contract, reasonable facilities for the public recreation.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 11, 1910.

CHAPTER 570.

AN ACT to empower the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
to issue the stock of said corporation to an amount not
exceeding one millon dollars for the purpose of acquiring by
purchase, condemnation or otherwise, land for police station
houses and other buildings for police department purposes
and of constructing and re-constructing police station houses
and other buildings for police department purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of, Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore be and it
is hereby authorized to issue stock to an amount not exceeding
