station house Justice or the committing magistrate at Towson
shall be entitled to receive from said County Commissioners
more than ten dollars as fees for his services in criminal cases in
any one month. And that the Justice of the Peace so selected
to sit at the station house in Canton, in the Twelfth Election
District, shall receive from the County Commissioners the sum
of one hundred dollars per month, or a proportionate part
thereof, so long as he shall continue to act at said station house
under the selection of the Governor, as hereinbefore set forth,
which sum of money shall be paid to him by the Treasurer of
Baltimore County on the order of the County Commissioners,
at the end of each month, for his said services, or a propor-
tionate part thereof at the end of any portion of the month at
which the service of such Justice of the Peace at said station
house may terminate, as hereinbefore provided, and no Justice
of the Peace selected for said station house shall be permitted
to charge any fees, except for the use of the county, as here-
inafter provided, or receive any gratuity for granting any
release, or for the performance of any duty required by law.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all prior Acts or parts of
Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and the
same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 443.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 214 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session, 1894,
and Chapter 203 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at the January Session, 1908, entitled "An
Act to authorize, direct and require the County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore County to make a special annual levy
of ten (10) cents on the one hundred dollars ($100) of the
whole assessable property situated and located within the
limits of the villages of Canton and Highlandtown, in Balti-
more County, for the purposes of grading, paving and curb-
ing certain streets in said villages," and to re-enact the fol-
lowing in lieu thereof:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 214 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at the January Session, 1894, and Chapter
203 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed
at the January Session, 1908, entitled "An Act to authorize,
