590 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 8. No person shall shoot or in any manner catch, kill,
trap or have in possession in Baltimore County any rabbit,
pheasant or partridge between December 20th and November
10th, exclusive of both dates, or upon any Sunday or election
day, or when the ground is sufficiently covered with snow to
track rabbits or birds, above mentioned; and no person shall
shoot or in any manner catch, kill, trap, take or have in pos-
session in Baltimore County any squirrel between September
30th and September 1st, inclusive of both dates, or upon any
Sunday or election day.

SEC. 9. No person or corporation or transportation company
shall have the right to buy, sell or offer for sale for the pur-
pose of export from Baltimore County, or to export from or
carry out of said Baltimore County any pheasant or partridge,
except as in this Article otherwise provided. Any person
violating the provisions of either this or the preceding section
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shall pay a fine of five dollars for each and every bird,
rabbit or squirrel so taken, killed or had in possession or
transported, bought or sold for export, and in default of such
fine shall be imprisoned in the House of Correction or county
jail for a period of not less than twenty days nor more than
thirty days, or until the tine is paid.

SEC. 10. It shall not be lawful for any person to hunt, take,
kill or shoot any partridge, jacksnipe, rabbit or squirrel in said
county, without having first obtained from the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Baltimore County a license permitting the
person named therein to Su hunt, take or kill such birds or
animals, which license shall state the name of the applicant,
his age, color of hair, height, occupation and residence, and
shall not be transferable, and all licenses so issued shall date
from the time so issued until the first day of the July next
following the date of issuance of such license. The cost of
said license shall be as follows: A bona fide of Baltimore
County or a taxpayer of said county shall pay to the clerk the
sum of one dollar and a clerk's fee of twenty-five cents for the
issuance of such license; a non-resident of Baltimore County
but a resident of Baltimore City or any other county in the
State shall pay to the clerk of said Court the sum of five
dollars and a clerk's fee of twenty-five cents for such license;
a non-resident of the State shall pay to the clerk of said Court
the sum of ten dollars and a clerk's fee of twenty-five cents
for such license, which amount shall be paid over to the Balti-
more County Chief Game Warden, as herein provided for in
this Act. Any person violating the provisions of this section
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shall pay a fine of ten dollars for each and every
