"Highways Commission of Baltimore County," subject, "Levy
of Taxes for Road and Bridges," to follow Section 347, and
to be designated as Section 347A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Baltimore County," relating to the Highways Commission of
Baltimore County, subject "Levy of Taxes for Roads and
Bridges," to follow Section 347, and to be designated as Sec-
tion 347A, to read as follows:
SEC. 347A. And be it enacted, That, in addition to the levy
and distribution of taxes provided for in the preceding section,
for the use of county roads and bridges, the County Commis-
sioners shall annually levy upon the assessable property for
Baltimore County at the time of making said county levy, the
sum of five cents on each one hundred dollars of assessable
property, and the same shall be demanded and required by the
Highways Commission of Baltimore County for the use of the
county roads and bridges, and which said taxes shall be placed
as collected as an entirety in the general road and bridge
fund, in addition to the twenty per cent, provided for said fund
in the preceding section. The whole of said general road and
bridge fund to be applied to the general use and benefit of the
roads and bridges of the county, as directed and apportioned
for special purposes or among the several districts by the
Highways Commission of Baltimore County.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 192
and 194 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, passed at Session 1908, title "Baltimore County,"
subtitle "Jail and Jail Warden."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 192 and 194 of Article 3 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland of 1908, title "Baltimore
County," subtitle "Jail and Jail Warden," be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as
follows:
SEC. 192. The warden shall appoint a deputy warden, to
be paid a compensation by the County Commissioners of Balti-
