Whereas, The only amount received on account of said
material was a credit for sand of seventeen dollars and fifty
cents ($17.50), and from the receivers of the said R. E. Lee
Bosley twenty-six dollars and eleven cents ($26.11), making
in all forty-three dollars and sixty-one cents ($43.61), leaving
a cash balance still due and owing to said George Sack & Sons
of nine hundred and sixty-nine dollars and thirty cents
($969.30) ; and
Whereas, The Board of County School Commissioners of
Baltimore County has no authority to settle said claim or to
adjust the matter;
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County School Commissioners of
Baltimore County are hereby authorized, in their discretion, to
settle the claim of George Sack & Sons of nine hundred and
sixty-nine dollars and thirty cents (|969.30 for material fur-
nished in and about the erection of the addition to the public
schoolhouse at Hamilton, in Baltimore County.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 59.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
370, 371 and 372 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County," as repealed
and re-enacted by the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at the January Session of 1908, Chapter
495, and to add three additional sections thereto, to be
known as Sections 372A, 372B and 372c, to provide for
evening schools in said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 370, 371 and 372 of Article 3 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County,"
as repealed and re-enacted by the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at the January Session of 1908, Chapter
495, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments, and that three new sections be added to said
Article 3 of the the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Baltimore County," to be known as Sections 372A, 372B
and 372c, to read as follows:
370. Free Evening Schools shall be opened in Baltimore
County for the study of the rudimentary branches of know-
