SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county,
in the State of Maryland, are hereby authorized and empow-
ered, at their discretion, to erect and construct a draw bridge
over Stony Creek, in the Third Election District of said county,
from the east side of said creek to a point immediately oppo-
site on the west side of said creek, and at a point which will
give the most direct means of traffic and shorten the distance
in connection therewith to Baltimore City.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel County are hereby authorized and
empowered to issue bonds in denominations of from one hun-
dred to five hundred dollars each, and payable in twenty years
from the date of said issue, with interest not in excess of
five per cent. (5%) per annum, payable semi-annually, with
which to pay the cost, construction and maintenance of said
bridge, and to provide a keeper for said bridge and to provide
for the payment of said bonds and the interest thereon out of
the tax levies in said county.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 552.
AN ACT authorizing the Board of County School Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel County to build additional school
houses, and authorizing the County Commissioners of said
county to make a special levy for the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County School Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County be and they are hereby authorized to build
such additional school houses as may in their judgment be
necessary.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County be and they are hereby authorized
and empowered to levy annually, at the usual time of making
the county levy, upon the assessable property of said county,
such sum as the said Board of County School Commissioners
shall estimate as necessary for said purpose, not to exceed
five cents on the hundred dollars of said assessable property,
to be paid over to the Board of County School Commis-
sioners and used for the purposes herein set forth.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
