and City Council may, if they so decide, require a bonding
company of recognized solvency to be security on any or all
of said bonds, instead of requiring personal securities.

And it is further provided that nothing in this Act shall be
taken or construed to impair the obligations of outstanding
legal contracts of the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland.

SEC. 127. That all laws or parts of laws in conflict with
this Act be and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 128. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 375.

AN ACT to create a new election district in Allegany County,
to be known as "Election District Number 32."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new election district is hereby created in Alle-
gany County to be known as "Election District No. 32," the
same being taken from Election District No. 12 as now con-
stituted; said "Election District No. 32" shall be described by
the following metes and bounds: 1. Beginning at the intersec-
tion of Union street and Bowery street in the town of Frost-
burg, it being the end of the first line of the original line of
District No., 12, and running thence with said lines north-
westerly 1-10 of a mile to the legislative road opposite the St.
Cloud Hotel, thence with said legislative road northwesterly
214 miles, passing the Cumberland and Pennsylvania Railroad
Station in Frostburg and passing through the village of Alle-
gany to the road leading from Morantown Eckart, then with
said road southeasterly 1 mile to the top of the hill where
said road begins to descend into the village of Eckhart, then
with a straight line southwesterly 1 3/5 miles to a point on
the National road 1/10 of a mile east of the Allegany Cem-
etery gate, then leaving the lines of the original District No.
12 and running northwesterly with the National pike 1/4 mile
to the intersection of the national road with the Allegany Cem-
etery road, and with said road southwesterly 14 of a mile to
the intersection of the Cemetery road and McColloh street,
thence northwesterly % of a mile with McColloh street to the
intersection of McColloh and Green streets, thence southwest-
erly one-eighth of a mile with Green street to the intersection
of Green street and Blair street, thence northwesterly one-
eighth of a mile with Blair street to the intersection of Blair
street and Grant street, thence southwesterly 300 feet with
