SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of
this Act, and also those of Chapter 249 of the Acts of 1906, the
sum of four thousand dollars is hereby appropriated for the
year 1911, and a like sum for the year 1912, and the Comp-
troller of the Treasury is hereby authorized to issue his war-
rant annually upon the State Treasurer for the said sum of
four thousand dollars, to be paid out of any funds in the
Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to' the treasurer or
authorized agent of the Maryland State Board of Forestry.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the several annual payments
of four thousand dollars shall be made to the treasurer or
authorized agent of the State Board of Forestry during the
fiscal year ending September 30, 1911, and the fiscal year end-
ing September 30, 1912.
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That the Comptroller of the Treasury
is hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon
the State Treasurer for the sum of one thousand dollars, to be
paid out of any funds in the Treasury not otherwise appro-
priated, to the treasurer or authorized agent of the Maryland
State Board of Forestry; said money to be used for the pub-
lication of the Forest Charts and Reports of the several coun-
ties of the State.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 547.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for the painting and
framing of the portrait of Francis Scott Key, to be played in.
the State House at Annapolis in the State of Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of three hundred dollars ($300) be and
the sum is hereby appropriated to provide for the payment for
a portrait of Francis Scott Key, the portrait to be painted and
properly framed under the supervision of the Board of Public
Works of the State of Maryland, and placed in the Maryland
State House.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That upon the completion of the
work of painting and framing such a portrait by the person
selected by the Board of Public Works and to the satisfaction
of that body, the said Board of Public Works shall issue its
certificate to the Comptroller that the said work has been
completed by the person so selected, whereupon the Comptroller
shall issue his warrant upon the Treasurer in favor of the
