and twenty-one years, at its discretion; and provided, however,
that such license shall be issued to a corporation upon appli-
cation therefor; and provided further that one license, as
required by this Section and Section 10 of this Act, shall suffice
for all the members of a co-partnership when issued in the firm
name, such license shall be signed by a majority of the board
and attested by its seal, and shall state whether it be a prin-
pal's or assistant's license; no person holding an assistant's
or employee's license shall be permitted thereunder to engage
in or carry on the business of undertaking as a principal, and
before any person holding an assistant's or employee's license
shall be entitled to a principal's license, he shall apply for the
same by petittion to said board, who shall grant the same under
such rules and regulations respecting said applicant's qualifi-
cations and character as may be prescribed by said board; all
persons, co-partnerships and corporations, immediately upon
receiving the license provided in this Section and Section 10
of this Act or the certificate of registration as provided in
Section 7 of this Act, shall cause a copy of such license or
certificate of registration to be filed in the office of the local
Board of Health of Maryland in the respective county or in
the City of Baltimore in which it is proposed to carry on said
business or engage in the discharge of such employment; said
license or certificate of registration shall be displayed in a
conspicuous place in the office or place of business of such
licensee.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 454.

AN ACT to provide for replacing and resetting the boundary
stones which mark the line between the State of Maryland
and Delaware, and to authorize the Governor to communi-
cate with the authorities of the State of Delaware in regard
to same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Governor of Maryland be and is hereby author-
ized and requested to communicate with the Governor of the
State of Delaware with reference to replacing and resetting
the stones marking the boundary line between the State of
Maryland and the State of Delaware, and that in pursuance
