a few months of seventy years of age, is prevented by ill health
from serving the remainder of his term on the bench; and,
Whereas, Charles F. Holland has been an Associate Judge
of the First Judicial Circuit of Maryland- since the twenty-
third day of December, 1884, and has served in that capacity
with distinguished ability up to the present time, and now,
while within a few months of seventy years of age, is pre-
vented by ill health from serving the remainder of his term on
the bench; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, two-thirds of the members of each house concurring, and
with the approval of the Governor of the State, That Judges
Daniel Girard Wright, one of the Judges of the Supreme Bench
of Baltimore City, and Charles F. Holland, one of the Asso-
ciate Judges of the First Judicial Circuit of Maryland, who
have, by reason of continued sickness, become unable to dis-
charge the duties of their said offices with efficiency, be retired
from the said office of Judge, upon condition, however, tbat
the said Judges shall each continue to receive the full salary of
their offices as now provided by law until they shall Le seventy
years of age, and from that date each of said Judges shall be
entitled to a salary of twenty-four hundred dollars per annum,
payable in quarterly instalments, as other Judges' salaries
are now paid.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 161.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Chapter 294 of
the Acts of 1906, entitled "An Act to Establish a State Board
of Forestry and to Promote Forest Interests and Arbori-
culture in the State," and re-enact the same with amend
ments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Chapter 294 of the Acts
of 1906 be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted so
as to read as follows:
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That whenever the State Forester
considers it necessary he may apply to the Governor to com-
mission such persons as he may designate to act as Forest
Wardens of the State, to enforce the forest laws and to carry
