PRIVATE ACTS. 1437

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 11, 1910.

CHAPTER 381.

AN ACT to incorporate the American Aero Exhibition Com-
pany of College Park, Maryland.

Whereas, The Aero Club of Washington, District of Colum-
bia, and the Aero Club of Baltimore, in the State of Maryland,
have jointly offered the sum of two hundred thousand dollars
for the purpose of securing the International Aviation Meet at
College Park, in the State of Maryland; and

Whereas, The national Government of the United States,
through its accredited agents in the Army thereof, has recog-
nized the fields and site at College Park, Maryland, as the most
available for national and international tests and exhibitions
in aerial navigation; and

Whereas, It immediately becomes necessary to organize to
secure the adoption of College Park as the central grounds of
aviation in America, where general exhibitions of science, arts,
industry and athletics may henceforth be held;

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, That William H. Mason, of St.
Paul. Minn.; Charles N. Joyce, of Baltimore, Maryland; Fred-
erick L. Fox, of Washington, D. C.; Robert E. Routh, of New
York City, and William A. Stuart, of Pittsburg, Pa., their
associates and successors in office, be and they are hereby con-
stituted and made a body corporate under the name of The
American Aero Exhibition Company, of College Park, Mary-
land, and by that name shall have perpetual succession and be

capable to sue and be sued in any court of law or equity, to
make and use a common seal and alter the same at pleasure, to
receive and make deeds and contracts, to borrow money in such
sum and at such time and on such terms as it may deem neces-
sary for the transactions of the business hereby authorized;
and it shall have power to receive in payment for any sub-
scription to its capital stock, or any part thereof, any property
necessary or convenient for its purposes, and at such price and
in such manner as may be agreed upon by the board of direc-
tors; and the said body corporate shall have the power to
acquire by purchase or otherwise any property, real or personal,
which may be necessary or proper to enable said corporation to
fulfill the purposes for which this corporation is formed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said William H. Mason,

Charles ,N. Joyce, Federick L. Fox, Robert E. Routh and Wil-
liam A. Stuart be and they are hereby constituted the board of
