1394 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
Approved April 13, 1910.

CHAPTER 712.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Farmers' Banking and
Trust Company of Montgomery County, as granted in Chap-
ter 354 of the Acts of the General Assembly passed at the
session thereof begun and held on the 3d day of January,
1900, and ended on the 2d day of April, 1900.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the stockholders of the Farmers' Banking and Trust
Company of Montgomery County, a corporation incorporated
under the provisions of Chapter 354 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland passed at the January Session held in
the year 1900, be and they are hereby authorized to elect not
less than nine nor more than sixteen directors of said corpora-
ration, instead of not less than seven nor more than twelve
directors, as now provided by said Act; provided, however,
that said company shall be subject to the provisions of Article
11 of the Public General Laws of this State, title "Banks," and
any amendments thereof, and the liability of the stockholders
thereof shall at all times be determined by the laws of the
State in force at the time the said liabilities may attach; and
further provided that said company shall not be subject to
Article 3, Section 25, of said Article 11.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 713.

AN ACT to amend the charter of "The Hughsville Savings
Bank, Inc., of Hughsville, Maryland.

Whereas, "The Hughsville Savings Bank, Inc.," of Hughs-
ville, Maryland, was duly incorporated under the General In-
corporation Law of Maryland for the purpose of conducting a
savings bank and for the further purpose of doing a general
banking business, with a capital stock of fifteen thousand dol-
lars, divided into three hundred shares of fifty dollars each,
according to the certificate of incorporation approved the
twenty-seventh day of January, in the year nineteen hundred
and nine; and
