mine, and generally may do and transact a general banking
business.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the said The Hills-
boro-Queen Anne Bank shall have power to make loans to its
officers or directors, but shall not have power to make said
loans to its officers or directors without a responsible indorser,
or sufficient collateral security, unless the same shall have been
authorized both as to the amount and security, by resolution of
the board of directors, to be recorded.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That any individual or
administrator, committee, guardian, receiver, assignee, trustee
or any public officer of Caroline County, or elsewhere, or any
person or persons acting for others, having the custody of any
moneys belonging to themselves or others, are authorized to
deposit same in the said The Hillsboro-Queen Anne Bank,
should they so desire.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That whenever any de-
posits shall be made by a minor or married woman, such
deposits shall be received or held and paid out on precisely
the same terms and conditions as those of adult male or adult
female depositors, and the check, receipt or acquittance of
such minor or married woman shall be valid and binding on
them, any law of this State to the contrary notwithstanding;
provided, however, that said company shall be subject to the
provisions of Article 11 of the Public General Laws of this
State, title "Banks," and any amendments thereof, and the
liabilities of the stockholders thereof shall at all times be deter-
mined by the laws of the State in force at the time said liabili-
ties may attach.

SEC. 8. And be it. enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 390.

AN ACT to grant the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to a certain deed of real estate
described in a deed from George Gibson and Mary J. Gibson,
his wife, to James Cardinal Gibbons, and to the holding,
selling, mortgaging or otherwise disposing of the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland is hereby given and granted to a deed of certain
real estate in St. Mary's County, Maryland, from George
