PRIVATE ACTS. 1305

and the conservation of valuable water power in Caroline
county, and the said Thomas F. Garey, on or about August 2,
1909, assigned to the said The Peninsular Light and Power
Company, said rights, privileges and franchises, granted him
by the aforesaid ordinance passed by said Commissioners of
Denton; and,

Whereas, On June 18, 1909, the Commissioners of Ridgely
passed an ordinance granting unto said The Peninsular Light
and Power Company, its successors and assigns, certain
rights privileges and franchises; and,

Whereas, On June 22, 1909, the County Commissioners of Caro-
line county passed an order granting unto said The Penin-
sular Light and Power Company, its successors and assigns,
certain rights, privileges and franchises; and,

Whereas, On August 4, 1909, the Commissioners of Greensboro
passed an ordinance granting unto the said The Peninsular
Light and Power Company, its successors and assigns, cer-
tain rights, privileges and franchises; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That all powers contained in the ordinance passed on
February 20, 1909, by the Commissioners of Denton, entitled
"An ordinance to grant unto Thomas F. Garey, his heirs and
assigns, the privilege of erecting and maintaining electric light,
heat and power line in the town of Denton, Maryland," and in
the ordinance passed on June 18, 1909, by the Commissioners
of Ridgely, entitled "An ordinance to grant unto the Peninsu-
lar Light and Power Company, its successors and assigns, the
privilege of erecting and maintaining electric light, heat and
power line in the town of Ridgely, Maryland," and in the order
passed, on June 22, 1909, by the County Commissioners of Car-
oline county, wherein the Peninsular Light and Power Com-
pany, its successors and assigns, was granted the right, fran-
chise and privilege of using the public roads and bridges and
highways within Caroline county, as the same now are or may
hereafter be established, for certain purposes therein specified,
and in the ordinance passed, on August 4, 1909, by the Commis-
sioners of Greensboro, entitled "An ordinance to grant unto
The Peninsular Light and Power Company, its successors and
assigns, the privilege of erecting and maintaining electric light,
heat and power line in the town of Greensboro, Maryland," and
all proceedings of The Peninsular Light and Power Company
under said ordinances and under said order and the transfer
of said powers and of said ordinance by said Thomas F. Garey
to the said The Peninsular Light and Power Company, its suc-
cessors and assigns, be and the same is hereby declared to be
duly vested as of the dates of said ordinances and of said order,
