sive, and to add twenty new sections thereto, to follow Sec-
tion 48, and to be numbered and known as Section 48A, 48B,
48C, 48D, 48E, 48F, 48G, 48H, 481, 48J, 48K, 48L, 48M,
48N, 480, 48P, 48Q, 48R, 48S, 48T, to follow Section 48T
and to be numbered and known as Section 48U, 48V, 48W,
48X, 48Y, 48Z, 48Za and 48Zb, said new sections being for
the purpose of enabling the Mayor and Council of Berlin in
Worcester County to borrow upon the faith and credit of
said town a sum not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars, and
issue and sell coupon bonds therefor, to provide funds for the
improvement of public s'treets and ways and the extension of
the water and lighting systems of said town, and to pro-
vide for the levy and collection of taxes to meet the principal
and interest at said bonds as the same become due and to
extend the power of the Mayor and City Council of Berlin with
reference to the improvements of said public streets and
ways.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That eight new sections be and they are hereby added to
Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Worcester
County," subtitle "Berlin," as amended by Chapter 733 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1908, entitled An
Act to repeal Chapter 480 of the Acts passed at the January
Session of the year 1896, entitled An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments 29 to 48, both inclusive, of Article 24 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Worcester," subtitle "Ber-
lin," and to add certain new sections to said Article and sub-
title to follow Section 48, and to be designated at Sections 48A,
48B, 48C, 48D, 48E, and to repeal Chapter 573 of the Acts
passed at the January Session of the year 1902, entitled An
Act to add two additional section to Chapter 480 of the Acts
of 1896, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Worcester
County," subtitle "Berlin," and to be known as 41A and 42A,
and to repeal Sections 29 to 48, inclusive, of said Article 24 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, and to re-enact the several
sections of said subtitle "Berlin" of said Article 24 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, with amendments, from Section
29 to 48, both inclusive, and to add twenty new sections thereto,
to follow Section 48, and to be numbered and known as Sec-
tions 48A, 48B, 48C, 48D, 48E, 48F, 48G, 48H, 481, 48J, 48K,
48L, 48M, 48N, 48O, 48P, 48Q, 48R, 48S, 48T, to follow Sec-
tion 48T and be numbered and known as Section 48U, 48V,
48W, 48X, 48Y, 48Z, 48Za, 48Zb, said new section to read as
follows:
