by the Commissioners of the Town of St. Michaels for the re-
pair and maintenance of the road bed of the streets of said
town; provided, that no money shall be paid hereunder until
and unless the Commissioners of the Town of St. Michaels
shall, on or before the thirty-first day of December in each year,
file with the County Commsisioners of Talbot County an item-
ized statement, with the vouchers, showing that for the year
then just ended an actual expenditure of at least five hundred
dollars ($500) has been made upon the road bed of the streets
of the town of St. Michaels.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 326.
AN ACT to prohibit all persons not citizens or residents of
Talbot County from taking oysters from certain waters of
said county, and to establish a new boundary line between
the dredging and tonging grounds, or waters, near the point
where the waters of Harris creek and Broad creek empty
into the waters of the Great Choptank river.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall not be lawful for any person or persons not
residents or citizens of Talbot County to take oysters from the
waters of Harris creek or Harris river, and Broad creek or
Broad river, or the Great Choptank river, north of a line drawn
eastwardly and westwardly from the north end of Vincent Neck
woods, on Tilghman's Island, about half way between the
steamboat wharf and the head of Pigpen cove, and the property
known as the Moreland House (the present owner being Jerry
Valliant), on the border of Ferry Neck, facing Irish creek, in
said county; and that said waters north of said line be reserved
solely for the use of the tongers of Talbot County, and that the
taking of oysters in said waters by the use of dredges or scrapes
be and the same is hereby made unlawful and is prohibited.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts or parts of Acts
contrary to the provisions of this Act be and the same are
hereby repealed, and that this Act shall take effect from the
date of its passage.
