debtedness of said town, and after such payment and refunding
them in the discretion of the said Mayor and Council addi-
tional bonds may be issued and sold in manner prescribed by
ordinance or ordinances, the proceeds of the sale of such addi-
tional bonds to be applied to public improvements in said town,
that the said bonds shall be issued in two series, as follows:
Series A. Twenty bonds of the par value of five hundred dol-
lars each, due and payable ten years from the date of issue
thereof respectively; and series B. Twenty bonds of the par
value of five hundred dollars each, due and payable twenty
years from the date of issue thereof respectively; that said
bonds shall bear interest at not exceeding five per cent, per an-
num payable semi-annual after the date of said bonds, which
may be evidenced by coupons to be attached thereto; that said
bonds shall be signed by the Mayor of Crisfield, sealed with the
seal of the corporation and attested by the clerk thereof; that
the faith and assessable property of said town of Crisfield are
hereby pledged for the payment and redemption of the princi-
pal and interest of said bonds, which shall be exempt from
county and municipal taxation; that said bonds may be regis-
tered by the clerk of the corporation and shall have on them a
distinct reference to this Act of Assembly authorizing the
same.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 297.
AN ACT to require persons engaged in the business of shed-
ding, packing or shipping crabs in Somerset County to take
out license and providing for the issuance of same and pro-
viding for applying the receipts therefrom to the building
and support of the public schools of said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That any person or persons desiring to engage in the
business of shedding, packing or shipping crabs in Somerset
County shall first obtain by application to the clerk of the
court for said county a separate license for every person, firm
or corporation engaged in such business, and such license shall
have effect until the first day of May next ensuing the date of
the issuing of the same.
SEC. 2. That each and every license issued in conformity
with the provisions of Section 1 of this Act shall state the
