connections to be made with the said sewer at the expense of
owners or tenants; to pass ordinances to close polluted wells,
springs and other sources of water supply when such sources
shall be certified by the State Board of Health after proper
analysis to be polluted; and to pass ordinances for the quaran-
tine and regulation of communicable diseases, not inconsistent
with the laws of Maryland or with the rules and regulations
of the State Board of Health.

100. The Mayor and Council of Crisfield shall once a month
meet and sit as a local board of health; at such meeting they
shall receive the report of their secretary, shall hear petitions
and complaints in reference to nuisances, epidemic diseases,
and other unhealthful conditions, and shall consider and act
upon such other matters as may properly come under the provi-
sions of this subtitle; provided, that the Mayor may call addi-
tional special meetings of the local Board of Health when in his
judgment it shall become necessary. The said local Board of
Health shall act in conjunction with the State Board of Health,
and shall report or cause to be reported to said Board any un-
usual epidemic or the prevalence of any infectious disease and
such other facts in reference to the sanitary condition of the
city as they may deem important or necessary.

100A. Such local Board of Health shall appoint in the month
of May, 1910, and every four years thereafter, or as soon there-
after as practicable, a city health officer; a successor shall be
appointed by the local Board of Health" as soon as practicable;
the city health officer shall hold office for four years from the
date of his appointment, but may be removed by the State
Board of Health for cause upon charges made and considered
at a regular meeting of said board.

100B. Such health officer shall maintain in Crisfield an office
where shall be kept all the records and data pertaining to his
duties under this charter, and which shall belong to the Mayor
and Council. He shall meet with and report to the Mayor and
Council at the regular or special meetings of said Mayor and
Council as a Board of Health as hereinbefore provided and shall
keep minutes of such meetings; he shall be ex-officio Local Reg-
ister of vital statistics for the City of Crisfield, and shall re-
ceive an annual salary as fixed by the Mayor and Council, and
in addition thereto shall receive the fees provided for local reg-
istrars by Article 43 of the Code of Public General Laws.

100C. And be it enacted, That all the provisions of Sections
92C and 92D of 1894, and Chapter 265 of the Acts of 1898, and
Chapter 27 of the Acts of 1900, and Chapter 131 of the Acts
of 1906, and Chapter 506 of the Acts of 1908, and Chapter 648
of the Acts of 1908, be and they are hereby declared to be
