PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY. 1045

of said Engineer; no machinery or equipment for working the
roads of said county, whereof the cost exceeds $10, except mules
and harness, shall be purchased or sold without the approval
of said Engineer, and no material of any description shall be
used upon the roads, bridges or culverts which said Engineer
adjudges unfitted for the purpose for which it is to be used.

SEC. 285. The County Commissioners of Prince George's
County shall in their annual leyv next succeeding the passage
of this Act, and in every anual levy thereafter, levy upon the
assessable basis of Prince George's county twenty cents, no
more no less, per $100 of such assessable basis, for the use of
the roads and bridges of said county. The County Treasurer
of said county is hereby directed to report on the first of each
month, beginning June 1st of each year, to the said County
Commissioners the amount of county taxes collected by him
for the month preceding, and on the Tuseday next succeeding
the day of such report the said County Commissioners are here-
by directed to draw and deliver their warrant on the County
Treasurer to the order of the Board of Road Directors for one-
half of the sum so reported collected by the Treasurer each
month, until the whole amount of money levied for road and
bridge uses shall have been paid to the Board of Road Di-
rectors. Should the levy for the year 1910 be made before the
passage of this Act, then the said County Commissioners, by
their warrant on the County Treasurer to the order of the
Board of Road Directors, shall pay over to the Board of Road
Directors all sums levied for the use of the roads and bridges
of said county at such levy, said sums so payable to the Board
of Road Directors for the year 1910 to be paid by the said
County Commissioners, by their warrants aforesaid, as fol-
lows: One-third on or before July 1st, 1910; one-third on or
before August 1st, 1910, and the balance on or before Septem-
ber 1st, 1910. The Board of Liquor License Commissioners
shall pay over to the Board of Road Directors all moneys col-
lected from liquor licenses, as they are now directed by law
to be paid, to the County Commissioners of said county, less
their proper expenses as provided by law, and the said Board
of Road Directors shall apply the same as other road taxes col-
lected under this act are applied, provided, that the said Board
of Road Directors shall annually pay to the proper authorities
of incorporated towns in the county, such part of the funds
derived from liquor licenses issued to persons dealing in liquor
within the limits of said town as now provided by law. And
said Board of Road Directors are hereby directed to pay annu-
ally to the proper authorities of each incorporated town in the
county three-fourths of such part of said road and bridge tax
