PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY. 1023

CHAPTER 112.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of County School Commis-
sioners for Prince George's County to establish an additional
school in Nottingham Election District, Prince George's
County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land. That the Board of County School Commissioners for
Prince George's County be and they are hereby authorized to
establish an additional public school within the boundaries of
Nottingham Election District, Prince George's county, Mary-
land, for children of residents of said county between six
and twenty years of age to which admission shall be free, and
which shall be kept open as long as the said board shall de-
termine is necessary.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That the rights of any
child or children to attend said school shall be determinable
absolutely by said Board of County School Commissioners sub-
ject to the qualifications above set out upon application to them
by the parents or guardian of such child or children for ad-
mission thereto; and no child or children shall be admitted to
attendance in said school until such application shall be made
and passed upon as aforesaid.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts of
Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act to the extent
they are inconsistent herewith and no further are hereby re-
pealed.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 220.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 293
of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Prince
George's County," sub-title "Sheriff."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 293 of Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Prince George's County," sub-title "Sheriff,"
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows:

SEC. 293. The Sheriff of Prince George's County shall be
allowed for keeping and boarding prisoners committed to the
jail of the said county the sum of thirty-five cents a day for
