ture, as provided herein; and the said special tax or levy shall
be a lien upon the taxable property of said Montgomery County
and the Fourth Election District and the Sixth Election Dis-
trict, of said county, in the proportion herein before set forth,
and the said tax shall be collected in a like manner as other
taxes levied in said county are collected, and when collected
shall be applied, as hereinafter provided, to the payment of
said bonds as they severally mature and the interest thereon,
semi-annually, which said bonds and coupons, when issued shall
be a lien upon the taxable property of the said Montgomery
County and shall be noncontestable for any cause whatsoever,,
and the said bonds and coupons, so issued, when redeemed,
whether before or at maturity, shall be cancelled, and it shall
be the duty of the said County Commissioners to immediately
cancel the same.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That when said afore-
mentioned highway shall have been put in good repair, satis-
factory to the State Roads Commission of Maryland, then the
said highway shall be and become a part of the State Highway
system of the State of Maryland as now provided by law for
the taking over State-Aid highways by the State Roads Com-
mission when the same shall have been put in good repair, the
said highway forming a direct connection between Rockville
and Quince Orchard, in said County, on the route of the Rock-
ville-Dawsonville-Dickerson-Frederick State Road.

CHAPTER 387.

AN ACT to authorize the State Roads Commission of Mary-
land to survey a road in Washington, Frederick and Carroll
Counties.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That within one year after the passage of this Act, the
State Roads Commission of Maryland is authorize to make a
survey of the road leading from Hagerstown, through Smith-
burg, Foxville, Thurmont, Rocky Ridge, Detore, Middleburg
to Westminster, Maryland, over the most practicable route, with
a view to the construction of said road as soon as the necessary
funds mav be available.
