CHAPTER 385.
AN ACT authorizing and empowering the County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery County to put in good repair the
State-Aided Highway from Poolesville to Barnesville, in
Montgomery County; to use funds, in whole or in part, for
said construction, that may be allotted to Montgomery Coun-
ty for road purposes by the State Roads Commission under
any general law of the State of Maryland, or to issue bonds
in an amount not to exceed Eight Thousand ($8,000) Dol-
lars for said purpose; providing, if the County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery County determine to issue said bonds,
for the collection and levying of taxes in the Third Election
tion District and in the Eleventh Election District of said
County, for the payment of said bonds and interest coupons
thereon.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery County
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to put in
good repair the State-Aided Highway from Poolesville to
Barnesville, in said Montgomery County; and to use funds,
in whole or in part, for said construction, in such amount as
they deem necessary, that may be allotted to Montgomery
County for road purposes by the said State Roads Commission
under any general law of the State of Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That if the said County
Commissioners of Montgomery County shall not deem it wise
or proper, and in the exercise of the discretion herein vested
in said County Commissioners of Montgomery County, to have
used the said funds that may be allotted to Montgomery Coun-
ty for road purposes, as herein authorized, then, and in that
event, they are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow on
the credit of said County a sum not to exceed Eight Thousand
($8,000) Dollars for the purpose of putting in good repair,
and satisfactory to the State Roads Commission of Maryland,
the said State-Aided Highway from Pollesville to Barnesville,
and the said County Commissioners shall issue coupon bonds
under the corporate seal of said County Commissioners for
the amount borrowed under the provisions of this Act, the
said bonds to be signed by the President of the Board of
County Commissioners and countersigned by the Clerk thereof,
in sums not less than One Hundred ($100) Dollars and not
more than Five Hundred ($500) Dollars; the said bonds to
