which said tax is levied in excess of state, county, and district
taxes to be levied in said district in each of said years, and
the further statement that said levy is made upon the order
and direction of the Board of County Commissioners of said
County.

CHAPTER 360.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the Board of County Com-
missioners of Carroll County to borrow money on the credit
of said County to pay for the erection of new school build-
ings or additions to school buildings and the equipping of
such new buildings or additions in Carroll County, to issue
bonds therefor, and to levy on the assessable property in
Carroll County an annual tax sufficient to pay said bonds as
they mature, and to pay the interest thereon, as it becomes
due; also, providing for the expenditure of money for school
buildings and equipment, and submitting the question of a
bond issue to the voters of Carroll County for adoption or
rejection.
WHEREAS, In order to meet the unusual conditions arising
out of the increased attendence in and the rapidly growing
needs of the public schools of Carroll County, new buildings
and equipment are necessary to enable the County Board of
Education to properly provide for the education of all the chil-
dren of the County; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County Commissioners of Carroll
County, in order to provide funds necessary for the erection of
new school buildings and for additions to school buildings, and
for equipping and furnishing same in said County, are hereby
authorized and directed to borrow money on the credit of said
County and to issue and sell bonds therefor in the aggregate
amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00),
under the corporate seal of said Board of County Commis-
sioners, to be signed by the president of the said Board of
County Commissioners and to be countersigned by the Clerk
thereof, in denominations of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00),
Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or One Thousand Dollars
($1,000.00) each, as may seem most advisable to the said
