14, folio 388, of "Wills," and that said sum of one thousand
dollars so given and bequeathed vest in said "Board of Trus-
tees of Taylor's Chapel in Baltimore County" absolutely.

98. To the deed from Charles B. Downs to the Trustees of
Stevensville Methodist Episcopal Church of Queen Anne's
County, dated August 2, 1916, and recorded in Liber W. F.
W. No. 9, folio 253, a Land Record Book of Queen Anne's
County, Maryland.

99. To the gift named in the written contract or agreement
made by Charles B. Downs for the use and benefit of The
Trustees of the Stevensville Methodist Episcopal Church of
Queen Anne's County, Maryland, a religious corporation, said
written contract or agreement being dated August 9th, 1916,
and recorded in the Land Record Book of Queen Anne's Coun-
ty, Maryland, in Liber W. F. W. No. 9, folios 196 and 197.

Approved April 10th, 1918.

CHAPTER 286.

AN ACT for the relief of the residents of St. George's Island,
Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars, or
so much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby;
appropriated to build a substantial bridge to connect St.
George's Island, in St. Mary's County, Maryland, with the

mainland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the contract for
said bridge shall be made by the State Roads Commission of
Maryland and the money shall be expended by them to the best
advantage for St. George's Island, and any unexpended balance
or as much thereof as shall be needed, shall be used, if neces-
sary, to make a connection with the main road by condemnation
or otherwise; any unexpended balance of said appropriation
shall be returned through the proper sources to the State of
Maryland.
