686 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 285

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be, and the same are hereby declared, given and
granted to the following gifts, bequests, devises, grants, sales,
leases and deeds to and for the use and benefit of certain min-
isterial persons, religious corporations, denominations or sects,
and to certain charitable institutions as herein set forth.

1. To the grant and deed made and executed by Eugene
Levering, Joshua Levering and Helen Woods Levering, his
wife, to the Trustees of the University Baptist Congregation
of Baltimore, of a lot of ground in Baltimore City; being the
same lot of ground described in a deed bearing date of Septem-
ber 19th, 1917, and recorded among the Land Records of Bal-
timore City in Liber S. C. L., No. 3157, folio 299, etc.

2. To the bequests contained in the last will and testament
of Charles J. Brooks, late of Baltimore County, deceased, of
$1,000.00, respectively, to each of the following: (a) Little
Sisters of the Poor; (b) General German Orphan Asylum and
(c) St. Vincent de Paul Male Orphan Asylum.

3. To the residuary devise contained in the last will and
testament and codicil thereto of Eliza Almy Peckham, late of
Providence, Rhode Island, deceased, an authenticated copy
whereof is recorded in the office of the Register of Wills for
Baltimore City, in Wills Liber H. W. J., No. 125, folio 391,
etc., of certain undivided interests, as therein contained, in
and to two annual ground rents, one of forty dollars per an-
num, issuing out of a lot of ground'and improvements situ-
ated on the north side of Lombard Street, in Baltimore City
(known as No. 888 West Lombard Street), and the other of
$63.75 per annum issuing out of a lot of ground and improve-
ments situated on the north side of Thames Street, in said
City (known as No. 1820 Thames Street), to the following:
(a) St. Elizabeth Home, a corporation located in said Provi-
dence; (b) St. Andrew's Industrial School, a corporation lo-
cated at Barrington, Rhode Island; (c) St. Mary's Orphanage
in East Providence, a corporation located at East Providence,
Rhode Island; (d) The Rhode Island Branch of the Women's
Auxiliary to the Board of Missions, a corporation located in
Providence; (e) Grace Church in Providence, a religious cor-
poration; (f) Providence Monthly Meeting of Friends, a
religious corporation located in said Providence; (g) The
. Prisoners Aid Association, a corporation located in said Provi-
dence.
