June, September and December make a report of the same un-
der oath in such forms as said County Commissioners may di-
rect and pay over the fund upon order of said County Commis-
sioners, and when ever any Sheriff shall retire from office leav-
ing uncollected any monies in criminal cases lawfully payable
to him, as aforesaid, it shall be the duty of his successor to col-
lect and pay over the same; and it shall be the duty of the
Sheriff to keep in his office in a proper book for the purpose, an
official record of the monies to be collected by him and those
which have so been collected, which book shall remain in his
office after the expiration of his term for the use of his
successor.

SEC. 533-B—. That the Sheriff of Montgomery County is
hereby authorized and required to appoint at least seven deputy
sheriffs for said County who shall be mounted as said Sheriff
shall direct and shall be paid by said Sheriff such salary or sal-
aries as said Sheriff with the approval of the said County
Commissioners shall fix and determine out of the sum of $3,500.,
herein levied for the use of said Sheriff for said purpose. That
said deputies shall hold office at the pleasure of the Sheriff and
shall be removed by said Sheriff at any time said Sheriff may
elect or by the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, upon in-
dictment and conviction as now provided by law. That it shall
be the duty of the Sheriff of the County to require said deputies
to daily patrol the said district in which said deputy has been
appointed and designated and to render every service as is usu-
ally required of constables and patrolmen now employed by the
County Commissioners of said County, and also to do and per
form at any time in any place in said County any service inci-
dent to the office of a deputy of the Sheriff of said County which
they may be by the Sheriff ordered to do and perform and the
deputies of the Sheriff of Montgomery County shall not be en-
titled to demand or be paid any further or other compensation
for the rendition of any service incident to their office than sucu
as may be fixed by agreement between them and the Sheriff ap-
proved by the County Commissioners of Montgomery County.
That said Sheriff shall pay to said deputies a monthly compen-
sation and may assign and designate the same for such terri-
tory and work and at such time and at such compensation as the
Sheriff may deem proper with the consent and approval of the
County Commissioners.

SEC. 533-C—. The Sheriff of said County shall hold his
office at the Court house, and shall attend at his said office at
