CHAPTER 240.
AN ACT to direct the School Commissioners of Dorchester
County to re-establish a public school at Brookview and to
erect a school building.

CHAPTER 241.
AN ACT to provide for the licensing and regulating picnics
and other forms of amusement in Montgomery County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be unlawful for any person or persons,
firm or corporation to hold in Montgomery County any picnic,
dance, soiree, or other entertainment for gain or profit to which
the general public are admitted, without having first obtained
a permit or license from the County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said County
Commissioners are hereby authorized and empowered to issue
such license and to prescribe such reasonable rules and regu-
lations in connection with their said issue as may seem right
and proper, and to require the payment of reasonable fees
therefor, said fees to be spent equally for schools and roads
in said county.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That any person, .per-
sons, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provi-
sions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than twenty-
five dollars ($25.00) for each offense.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from June 1st, 1918.

CHAPTER 242.
AN ACT to appropriate the sum of Thirty-five Hundred
($3500) Dollars for the use of the State Tax Commission
of Maryland.
