596 LAWS OF MAR\LAND. [CH. 22S

Provided, if such teacher holds a first-class State high school
certificate and has taught eight years in the high schools of
Allegany County, such teacher shall receive a salary of not
less than nine hundred dollars ($900.00) per school year.
Provided, if such teacher holds a first-class State high school
certificate and has taught eleven years in the high schools of
Allegany County, such teacher shall receive a salary of not
less than nine hundred and fifty dollars ($950.00) per school
year. Provided, if such teacher holds a first-class State high
school certificate, and has taught fifteen years in the high
Schools of Allegany County, such teacher shall receive a salary
of not less than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per school
year.

SEC. 6. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That no white principal of a Group "B" high school shall
receive a salary of less than thirteen hundred dollars
($1300.00) per school year. Provided, if such principal holds
a first-class State high school principal's certificate, and has
taught three years in the high schools of Allegany County,
such principal shall receive a salary of not less than fourteen
hundred dollars ($1400.00) per school year. Provided, if
such principal holds a first-class State high school certificate,
and has taught five years in the high schools of Allegany
County, such principal shall receive a salary of not less than
fifteen hundred dollars ($1500.00) per school year. Provided,
if such principal holds a first-class State high school principal's
certificate, and has taught eight years in the high schools of
Allegany County, such principal shall receive a salary of not
less than'sixteen hundred dollars ($1600.00) per school year.
Provided, if such principal holds a first-class State high school
principal's certificate, and has taught eleven years in the high
schools of Allegany County, such principal shall receive a sal-
ary of not less than seventeen hundred dollars ($1700.00) per
school year. Provided, if such principal holds a first-class
State high school principal's certificate, and has taught fifteen
years in the high schools of Allegany County, such principal
shall receive a salary of not less than eighteen hundred dollars
($1800.00) per school year.

SEC. 7. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That no white principal of a Group "A" high school
shall receive a salary of lees than fifteen hundred dollars
($1500.00) per school year. Provided, if such principal holds
a first-class State high school principal's certificate and has
